NAVY Seals and Anxiety

In case you have not seen this segment done by the History Channel it talks about mental training of Navy SEALS. They train to be able to face panic and react in an appropriate way given the situations that are faced with. They use the skills of:

  1. Self Talk
  2. Visualization
  3. Arousal Control (Relaxation)
  4. Goal Setting

These skills are helpful whether you are a Navy SEAL or if you are working a 9-5 job out of the combat zone. These skills allow for stress reduction and the ability to focus on achieving your peak performance in what you are attempting to accomplish whether shooting a bow, talking softly in an argument, or walking into an uncomfortable situation.
